You will not find a better playset design and basic.. It took me more like 24 hours to build this set, but I went slow and it was well worth it. There is very little wood waste at the end of the project. The cheap box kits are no where near the quality of this custom Alpine set. The Alpine set is very heavy duty and my two children love it. I would recommend this project to be accomplished in 3... I would recommend this project to be accomplished in 3 phasesPhase 1 - Sanding and staining wood from HD.This way my kids wont get splinters. Phase 2 - Pre-cutting boards per instructions providedPhase 3 - Assembly, this is the shortest part. I tried doing it all in two days it took 3. The quality of the materials included along with the instructions were right on point.
It was nice to be able to select my own lumber and make my own cuts, it also gave me the flexibility to customize it a bit. The quality of this product is excellent. This is a great kit, but I would like to see two people put all this together in a day. I couldn't put it together that fast with a crew and a crane. To be fair, I used Thompson's water seal on all the wood and only worked on it a couple hours a day.

Get wood pre-cut to sizes, need a vehicle able to handle the length and weight of the wood to get it to your location. You may need Torx bits T30 and T20.
Excellent for the do it yourselfer & custom style. I bought this kit because I wanted a playset in an odd shape and size. The fact I got to build it how I wanted and have my kids help with both design and construction was a bonus.
Mixed with a few other pieces I sourced elsewhere and used items, it came a out great and for cheaper than an equivalent ready to build sets. Directions were easy to follow and.. There was one measurement that had a typo but lucky we were able to figure it out. The products themselves were good quality.

Even sent one extra, justincase. We now will be able to have it complete for our daughters birthday party this weekend. Easy to assemble and I liked using better grade wood then the complete sets. I was able to make my own modifications to fit my space. I was able to put the whole thing together from start to finish by myself.
I did have to build supports as extra hands. Don't expect to get it done in 6 hours unless your a professional.
Took me about 9 hours not including all the Home Depot trips loading wood into a Toyota Corrolla... I used 4 paver stones at the corners to help keep the tower level and prevent it from settling to much. If using PT wood you should sand it well afterward and maybe even paint it to prevent splinters.The overall kit was a good experience to assemble. I used it as a baseline and modified the set to my own desired dimensions. Compared to pre-made kits, the quality is fantastic.
It was easy to put together and there are a few different plans you can follow to make different setups. The 6-8 hrs might be possible if you pre-build, otherwise it isn't happening. Look closely at the directions. Get 3 pounds of the 2-1/2 screws, not 1, save yourself a trip for more. Assembly, the directions are easy to follow.
If you are by yourself, an 8 ft 2x4 can be used to help stabilize while you are putting the main frame together. The only issue with the build, my Grandsons though I was taking to long.
Product was just as advertised. Searched for months to find a well priced swingset. I found this kit and it was everything I was looking for, much larger and sturdier. It took my husband and father-in-law about 6 hours to complete. Very happy with it and so is my 18 month old!
Took a while to assemble but was really sturdy and nice when done. I found this to be a very economical option for a DIY-er who wants to avoid the added cost of a complete play set. Went together in a weekend. Nice set, minus a trapeze set. Kit worked out well, it would have been nice of them to have included a trapeze set, since it has a cantilever beam.
Sturdy and a great value if you are handy. This went together as planned with all of the attachments and instructions. If you can cut wood accurately and have some time for assembly, this is a great product. Less expensive than other sets with similar features. Instructions were a little difficult to follow at times. I assembled by myself but another pair of hands (or two) would come in handy - especially for raising the 4x6 swing beam. The box advertises 4-6 hour assembly. I find this a bit optimistic. Completed product is nice looking and sturdy.
